Nearly every weekend a group of between 6 and 25 of us get together, for parties, barbeques, picnics, day trips or weekends away. We meet loads of new people, see lots of new places, in short we have a life.... compare that to sitting in the SAME seat, in the SAME pub, moaning about the state of your life to the SAME people every weekend...Who's
anti social, (and bigoted and small minded) now?
A life what a joke!!! yeah very exciting to talk to illinformed australians, swilling beer over themselves and vomitting in the backyard- a yes very intelectual-what do u talk about -let me guess ahh the footy !!! and waugh's century-rather dont be asked by anyone thanks especially when it comes to australians!!
Its so pathetic...

And we can move back any time we want, but while we are over this side of the world, we are travelling and seeing as much as we can. That is one (and there are not many) of the advantages of being on this side of the world. I think you are going to be in for a shock when you move back to UK.
WHY? what in australia? yeah a shock to actually have a proper conversation with people that actually care and wont judge you-to see football in the street, to see a wave and get a laugh-oh yes it will be a shock to actually feel ALIVE and not aussie aussie aussie hoy hoy hoy vomit, spit, pommie bastard, beer, cant speak out, tall poppie syndrome-seen that in the states? read the post about the red Ferrairi -spelling again lets say Car, that PB posted AGAIN!

And the same US that is forecasting federal defecits in the $200 to $300 billion range over the next two years?

California also has some of the biggest and best areo-space and defence companes in the world located there , which right now are rubbing their hands thanks to Mr Bushs up coming war.
You do know that Australia owes a lot more than that and the drought is making it worse, the amount you qoute is peanuts to the American economy.
Look around Australia 65% of international companies which in general are the largest here , are Americian owned why do you think little Johnny puts his head up Bushs arse?
Get real if America falls the western economies fall with it , and if it rises it pulls the rest with it.

So to paraphrase you, take off you rose-tinted glasses and stop DREAMING!!. England is no longer the land of milk and honey, if it ever was, and like Aus if you make a decent effort you will be successful. This, however, will require that you get off your fat arse (probably both literally and metaphorically) to make a living. Or do you plan to exist on welfare? Had a thought: the London zoo will keep you in feed and you can sell your manure

2thick perhaps but not Cro-Magnon
NO NOT unlike "OZ" what ever that means-if u make a descent effort in australia they will pull u down-u actually make a dieing here-there are no jobs anymore- the land of plenty has dried up-like the drought-its over-thank goodness-how about seeing the manure here-the aussies have constant verbal diahorrea...u will herealot of it-especially in the government

Which just goes to show how easy it is to make any place you choose sound either marvellous or a hell-hole, depending on how the story is portrayed.

Debate is what its all about there is no black or white just shades of grey , I am sure some people love being in prison and never wish to leave others hate being walled in , so we all look at things different.
IT was well over hyped and the crash had to happen , far to easy to make money for a short time its now leveling out.

You're spot on there, PB. I know a lot of people (ex-work colleagues) who jumped ship at our place and went to work for tenuous dotcoms that were selling vaporware. All of them vice presidents at the very least! Most lasted 6 months before going down the drain. Having said that, a lot of money was made in that time as you say. And lots of Mom and Pop investors burnt as a result.

What the heck are you dribbling on about. Have you been on the turps or something.

Are you going to tell me that you never have get togethers with friends in your own home or their homes (that is if you have any friends). If you don't socialise with people, you are a sad sad case.

We are actually capable of having a few drinks without getting sh@t faced you know.

The world went mad for smoke and mirrors , banks went over board on lending these conmen money, pension funds where throwing billions at worthless companies by buying shares.
Then the public joined in and got shafted , never trust something you can not understand.

PB, I actually thought that 2FS was your brother (only for a minute), but then realised that he is too much of a pratt.
