Didn't get above 13 degrees yesterday - going to be cold today too- what a time to be having new windows installed. Except I've just had a phone call to say they wont be coming this morning due to having to go to an emergency install. 
Great. I've been up since 5 am as they said they would be here by 7am. OH has taken the day off too.

Well it was Graeme formerly 232 bar's 50th Birthday yesterday, the first day of Winter. The celebrations were a 4 day event.
Beautiful warm evening on Friday saw us sitting outside enjoying pizza & beer. Saturday was pleasantly warm & we partied long into the night outside at The Charming Squire. Sunday, another nice day, saw us chilling in the garden before a glorious meat fest meal at Mundo Churrasco the Brazilian Restaurant. OMG the meat just keeps coming even when you turn your cork over. I thought I could eat a lot of protein but some of those regular customers were still eating long after we had eaten our fill.
Yesterday began cloudy & as the wind blew up we were sitting on the banks of the Brisbane river freezing to death at the River Bar. It was so cold I had coffee instead of beer & at 3pm I walked back the the shopping center & bought myself a jumper. By the time we managed to pour Graeme onto the train it was bitterly cold.
Brace yourself Winter is here!
