I know I suffer terribly too and get the flashing lights etc. They only seem to sell paracetamol/aspirin here
Co codamol used to help mine but you cant get them here
I wish Id brought a mega pack of them with me,and will be asking anyone who visits from UK to bring some with them

Hi
I couldn't find anything that worked for me over the counter so went to the doctors who gave me imigram. Luckily I haven't used any yet as still had some maxalt left, which I found to be very good but unfortunately they don't have it here. Also fond that anadin extra used to be good but again can't get that here or indeed that mix of medication, so get my mum to post me a few packets at a time over to keep me going. Never had them confiscated or anything yet so I guess I will keep on doing this.
Good luck with finding something to suit you.

Thanks for all the great advice. 22 hours since the last one so here's hoping that's me done for the time being, well at least long enough to get some supplies in

I also suggest lots of water, and reduce things like white bread, pasta and dairy, oh, and try and relax. Pain from migranes can quite often come from your neck or shoulders. If this seems to be the case, an ice pack or frozen peas will bring down inflamation, and a heat pack, steam room or hot water bottle will help relax the muscle. Plus if you are a teeth grinder, the pain may also be a result of a clenched jaw. Hope this helps, because I know the pain can be a nightmare. Regular massage can also be a huge help. Good luck, Dee p.s. I am a massage therapist specialising in both swedish and indian head massage in the innaloo area, but I also suffer with my head neck and shoulders so I know the pain and its not fun, thats for sure!!
