I miss my best mate who's son is seriously ill in Great Ormond Street being fattened up for a major op Why anyone would miss material things or food is beyond me.

A lot of us go on about the small things in life, whatever country we are in - at times thats what gets us through the day. But equally, we know the difference between those things and the ones that REALLY matter.

hehe, actually i'd forgotton about that till you mentioned, now thats one thing i DONT miss, the whole Celtic / Rangers nonsense , glad to have left that behind. as you say, it was more about religion that soccer !! (sorry, Football )

Other than friends and family, im not sure what i miss..
when i first arrived, i didnt like aussie chocolate, now i love it, i got sent some UK choccies for my birthday, and it tasted too sweet, i didnt like it LOL
didn't like the TV much when i first arrived either, now i think its really good
overall, i think you adapt and learn to live with the material things here(although i still love it when i get some Jaffa Cakes and Bassetts Jelly Babies ) but missing your mates and family, well i dont think that ever goes, it just gets easier to deal with after a while (for me anyway)
