Just a thought:
Its called the WORLD wide web for a reason - there's a clue in there somewhere!
No, seriously - facebook works wherever you are in the world as will your .co.uk email addy (providing its not tied into a service provider that you are cancelling with). As others have recommended, get a Gmail account - you'll never look back and beats the crap outta cluttering your hard drive with emails!!

Remember that if the email address you normally use is tied to your ISP and you lose it when you leave the UK, then there are other places you need to change too - including British Expats. Make sure that whatever email address you use on here is one you can keep after you move!

Another daft question in a similar vein, I use AOL and their email. I will close the account when I move to Oz, will I lose my email account with them or would I be able to retain it? e.g. [email protected].
Thanks,
Thicko.

So just log on once you have a new email address, go in to your contact details and put the new address on. No worries!
Emails like gmail, yahoo, hotmail, can be accessed from any computer around the world (unless you're at work and your boss has blocked hotmail, boo
) so there is absolutely no need to change your address unless you want to. Even if it ends with co.uk. (Mine I opened when I was in UK, it is com, it still works) You would only need to change your email if it is linked to your provider which is linked to your house (e.g. you have a home bt service and your email is [email protected].) Even then you may be able to log on elsewhere, as the provider would want to keep you attached to them somehow - worth a call to them, if you'd rather not bother with changing.

If your AOL is an online account like yahoo or msn. hotmail then you will have no problem. Facebook is not a problem from anywhere as it is an 'online' a/c and as such uses online software. For those that use service provider email address's, like [email protected], then you should get an online (yahoo, msn, gmail) account as soon as and email all your contacts of the new address. Also inform all your 'favourites' clubs or forums that you might use. #british, expats, facebook, etc. Then you can access them anywhere in the world once you remember you're password. eamon
thanks
