#196
It's certainly not the new Audi R8 I bought today.
UK £100k, Aus price $399k

..in your 20's and 30's you have a job, but all your spare cash goes on the kids. In your 40's and 50's, any spare money goes into your pension fund. Then you retire, and live off the money you saved, but you dare not spend much. Then you die and whats left goes to your kids.
your 30's and 40's you have a job, but all your spare cash goes on the kids. In your 50's and 60's, any spare money goes into your pension fund. Then you get retired [not your choise - you realise you havent got enough cash squirelled away to get away with it], and live off the pitiful sum of money you saved, but you dont have anywhere near enough - then you run out of money, are forced to sell your house (the only significant asset you have) to pay for the absolute shocking squallor you have to live in for the hopefully short time before the conditions take their toll and you die.
Future is bleak... I wish I was born 25 years earlier!

OK back on topic - Apples (the techo type not the edible ones) are cheaper in Australia at the moment! (DH just bought in iphone at last! I just wish he had bought it a couple of weeks ago and got it duty free as well as relatively cheaper grrrr!)

What the hell is Black Friday?
#204
Gosh, do you think Apple will be doing a Black Friday sale here in UK? I could easily be persuaded to upgrade to a 4S myself (DH and I have a bet going about how long I will hold out before I succumb to an upgrade from my 3GS! I was guessing weeks but he plumped for days!)
Pottering off to the Grand Arcade right now!

Could be ... a bit like The Sex Pistols.
I thought it was worldwide ... No discounts on iPhones though ...

Black friday is the day before thanksgiving in the US where all the dumb b'stards that live there go mad at the shops.
