got some good oysters in the canal there.

Isnt it close to hove ? then its pretty close to brighton (manchester by sea)

been to shoreham on occasion, if its where Im thinking its a bit like an island or at least a part of it is and run down

Yes its a few miles from Hove. AND no it isn't run down and isn't part of an island, it boasts over 20 pubs and an airport. AND they have built up ropetackle which is in at the end of the town centre with lots of apartments and townhouses. Shoreham is up and coming you know! Ok if I'm honest its pretty dull there, or was unless you are a king at pubcrawls.

I think you'll find it was the other way round actually..

hmmmm, on the west end of the main road is that where theres a big new building going up, apartments maybe. you can bear right to go towards the a27 or left to go across some kind of causeway to some other part of the town, which I remember has a strip of shops that are really run down, a post office, and a few other shops with awful looking flats above them ?

and thinking of the a27, by worthing theres a road sign saying "the racing of horse drawn vehicles is prohibited" hehehehe

probably july of this year cant really remember since I worked all over the country but spent a month in hove in 2004 and did jobs all around worthing.

Not slagging the place off just trying to picture it but I definately remember that strip of shops. they arent by the a259 but if you look from the a259 you can see them across some body of water (thats why I thought it was an island)

You are right but that body of water is the river Adur which runs under the Norfolk bridge, there's no island.
