All sorted now, couldn't get the flight/bagggage/destination combo that we needed so have booked Virgin from London to Sydney (i work for a Virgin company so got staff discount and we are going businees class) and going Qantas Sydney to Adelaide.

Yes we are here.
We arrived on Tuesday after a 3 flight journey, London to Hong Kong, HK to Sydney, on Virgin Atlantic, and Sydney to Adelaide on Qantas.
Travelling with a 5 yr old not tooo bad except when he threw up all over his breakfast tray - sick everywhere. Our 9 month old was ok but suffered from spending most of the 36 odd hours in darkness so his body clock and routine was messed up. He also picked up a sickness bug on the way so the first few days could have gone smoother.
We are staying with good friends in Aldinga Beach which has helped alot with the transition.
