Aussie songs maybe. It sounds naff but the National Anthem may be of use as all the kids are supposed to sing it at assembly. Along with the info on Aus you could include distances from one city to another and include the map with Europe superimposed and give idea of how it takes x hours from London to York etc as opposed to Perth to Sydney type stuff.

Hi,

This sounds a great idea, we are still in the uk at the mo and i think it would be really good idea if you could do a day in life (sort of thing) of a ozzie at school .

Like snap shots of the kids in lessons and what lessons they have each day.

My son will be 14 when we get there and to be honest i dont have a clue about th schooling, he has learning difficulties which he has a statement for here, so a little insight would be good.

My neice and nephew say he can choose to work a small farm at there school  he would love that .

You could do different ages and different states.

Just a thought.

:D

Should be able to. It's a word document of her front page. There's no 'real' info at the mo.

The website is starting to take shape now :)

Its been uploaded to my tafe website as a temporary measure and then when I've got all the content I need it'll go live.

Most of the content at the moment is Lorem Ipsum (just text to show that its still under construction) apart from the link below which is a 'real' story for a 'real life pommy kid in oz' (I wont say whos child it is in case they dont want everyone to know.....I'm sure she'll say if is does though........hes a great writer) - if anyone has any stories or comments (or anything basically) that they'd like to contribute it would be very much appreciated! (and we save me a lot of time!! :))

Feel free to check out the site:

Brilliant idea for a website, my 11 year old daughter just read "A typical day in an Aussie school" said it was really good and asked me to tell her when other stuff is put on. Keep up the good work!
