Here's a brilliant kids website that covers kids health, feelings, family, body etc - it's aimed directly at kids. You might get a few more ideas from here? Great idea by the way! |

Re: Website for kids emigrating
The website looks great. Have been rattling my brain for more ideas and the only one I can come up with is animals of Australia. Might be a good fun and educational way of teaching them about the animals and more importantly snakes and spiders without putting the fear of god into them!!!

Re: Website for kids emigrating
Dictionary of common words and their aussie equivalent ... emphasis on school stuff obviously. When we first arrived we were told that the school assembly would be under the 'COLA' and we thought they had some sponsorship deal going with coke. (Covered Outdoor Learning Area - in case anyone who hasn't got here yet, is curious). :)

Oh god yes!
I asked the boys today and they both went "uh?" As Mairead says, animals would be fantastic, info about famous landmarks, Uluru, Harbour Bridge might be good. Surfing beaches as a maybe? (Stepson is very keen to surf.) Safe teenage hangouts in major cities. Will keep thinking Niki |
