A rather bold assumption that I know nothing about it - nice of you to make it.

Thanks guys

My daughter is now 23 and when she was a baby we were advised by our local doctor to get on to our MP if her
operation was delayed. More research and money has been put into the cause in the UK since then and luckily for babies born after Sarah, the operation has improved and the success rate is much higher. At the time we raised funds for the paediatric unit at Killingbeck in Leeds which has now been pulled down.

Getting back to my workshop, unfortunately i have cancelled it due to lack of interest I had two adverts and an editorial in the local paper.
On hindsight, i have only lived in the area for two months and i guess i was too eager and my expectations were high of the local people.

I will organise another one when i am more established in the area and perhaps a few of you will attend the next one

We have met quite a few expats who would benefit from this and Australians.

So any one who would like to support this worthy cause get on over. My own cousin died as a result of a hole in the heart that couldn't be fixed and the young age of 4. As that was over 35 years ago medical advances have evolved to a point where she would probably live now.
I agree....I could have done with something like this last year, as we arrived a couple of months before Christmas, when my home sickness was still quite bad. Luckily this year I will have my parents here with me, and unlike others, I am grateful to have them around.

Keep up the good work Angie, and I hope that more people get involved, and less people post just to have a whinge

Can I gently suggest that those of you that aren't interested go and play elsewhere on the forum, and quit taking the micky out of what seems to be a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks
Polly,

In the intersts of harmony I shall bow out disgracefully. Contrary to popular belief I do think the cause is worthwhile (not that it needs my seal of approval ) and don't believe I ever took the mickey out of the cause. I do have some decorum Pol I hope it does raise money for the charity, certainly the goverment isn't going to provide it all.

I am a hypnotist and kinesiologist and the workshop will give you suggestions and tools you can use to make this christmas your best ever whilst at the same time helping the 'heartkids' charity. My own daughter was born with a major heart defect so it is a charity close to my own heart.
It starts at 10am finishes at 4pm, includes a light lunch and lots of fun
PM me if you would like more info

Hi Angie,

I'd love to have come but did not realise and was up to my eyes in packing boxes !

Can you PM me about more workshops ?

Cheers,

Mel.

P.S-I should imagine if you advertise in the hinterland news (Montville, Maleny, Mapleton) it would go down well ??
