Default a way of helping you settle in Oz

Hello
It might be short notice but i am hosting a workshop for 'Heartkids' , a charity for children born with congenital heart defects on Saturday 1st December in Buderim. It is aimed at relieving stress at christmas and will help those of you who are finding christmas away from loved ones particularly stressful.
I am a hypnotist and kinesiologist and the workshop will give you suggestions and tools you can use to make this christmas your best ever whilst at the same time helping the 'heartkids' charity. My own daughter was born with a major heart defect so it is a charity close to my own heart.
It starts at 10am finishes at 4pm, includes a light lunch and lots of fun
PM me if you would like more info

Can you hypnotise my OH's parents to go back to England for Xmas - that would help my stress levels enormously

'having me believe' - doesn't work with me - others have tried All those in the world who would like a relative for company are welcome to have all of mine, anytime. What makes you think it's only a bit of fun?

i wonder what others have tried specifically?
hey that would be a good idea... give your relatives to others who havent got any at christmas time
then the ones who havent got any get to benefit and you are free of them

A relative is for life - not just for Xmas - if they take them they keep them. I can manage quite well without mine thank you very much. However, as I don't believe anyone 'needs' to have family around them at Xmas and should just get on with it, I think my original plan should stand.

Others have tried phobia relieving hypnotherapy - to no avail. And, tbh, I think a lot of the other stuff is money making mumbo jumbo. It works because people have a need for something so a psychological placebo comes in handy for them

What makes you think I'm not happy and positive - is it because I don't need a workshop to tell me I am therefore there must be some deep seated resentment against the world I can only get out of my system if I subscribe to 'alternative healing' to make me realise just how much I do really miss my relatives/England etc. I think I'll save my money for better things.

Seen as your cause does seem a very good one, I'm just giving you a bump up so it doesn't get hijacked by the resistant people who don't need stress therapy just cause it.

We have met quite a few expats who would benefit from this and Australians.

So any one who would like to support this worthy cause get on over. My own cousin died as a result of a hole in the heart that couldn't be fixed and the young age of 4. As that was over 35 years ago medical advances have evolved to a point where she would probably live now.

C'mon guys, as Ann has suggested, lets get this back on track for this proposed workshop.

Can I gently suggest that those of you that aren't interested go and play elsewhere on the forum, and quit taking the micky out of what seems to be a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks

Good luck Angie.
Good on you for giving up your time and being enthusaistic for a very worthy cause. We are over in Perth otherwise I would come and support it. I am not stressed at all or feel in need of any therapy but I think it is good to be open minded about things and learn to appreciate other peoples beliefs and learn from others rather than slagging them off as has unfortunately happened here, Mind you far easier and makes some people feel big slagging off ...but what does it really achieve? It puts people off posting.

Hopefully the thread and forum will regain track and you have lots turning up.

I must look into that charity. We haven't been here long and have an 8 year old with a congenital heart defect..and am always looking to support various charities.
