Easy to say from a comfortable position isn't it?

Let's hope we never have to find out what it is like for ourselves

Afraid not. There are countless decent folk out there getting a raw deal through no fault of their own.

Wouldn't believe too much tittle that may come from the mouth of his ex either. In life some folk are just dealt a rough deal.

So who is he going to get help from?

Who are the transported orphans going to get help from?

It is also being able to access the correct help when required.Being able to connect with an understanding GP to gain a referral, can bring out a depressive eposode in itself.

you gotta be joking right:rofl: :sneaky:

mate no one is saying people can undo the crap that's happened in life but they can come to terms with it so as not to destroy them.

People are generally far more outspoken, educated and questioning these days and there are many places people can go to seek help. I'm not saying it's easy [far from it] but the only person who can make the difference is the person concerned mate...

Some do and some don't. Do you not believe that many males especially, pretend to have it all under control because that is supposely the man thing to do?

Mental Hospitals are far from being unknown to such people if they get that far as they feature high in suicide stats.

Even in this day and age there are many men that consider it weak to admit they are not invincible.

Indeed. Did not intend to suggest the person is. More a general comment on getting help as was suggested by another poster.
First need to connect with an understanding GP as there are not a few duds out there.

Why?

You know, you have to put things into perspective. This bloke moved to Australia with his family before there were support networks and things such as BE. You recent expats don't know how good you've got it. In a lot of ways you are moving to Oz with a ready made life.

You're either young or bloody lucky.

Or bloody oblivious!

I guess that's a possibility as well. :)

They didn't own the land in the first place. They just lived on it.

Many of the children shipped over here do not know their families and many were told the parents were dead.

Tell them about their choices

I think to compare this bloke to the orphaned children is exactly the naivity that I'm talking about. I've had plenty of shit things happen in my life including loosing my parents at an early age but I'm here and
I've made choices that make me happy. It how you deal with adversity that shows your character.
