Never did it until I came to Australia. A lot of companies enter the BRW corporate triathlon which is what I do sometimes. It is a short course but done in all the cities.

If I move there I will look into it. I am training for the City 2 Surf in Sydney at the moment. After that I am considering an Ocean Swim and maybe a tri in the New Year. I would love to do the Bondi Bronte. The Coogee to Bondi sounds a bit much to me.

You should also try USM Events and the Challenge Series for Tri's in Victoria you can enter.

Lots of Tri clubs around the Bayside area of Melbourne -http://www.melbournetriclub.com/
The Tri season starts in Melbourne in November with two series running side by side. I have done the Gatorade one and going to do them again this year
Details http://www.supersprint.com.au/events...ries-0910.aspx
If I can remember the name of the other series I will post a link for you.
