tri tri and tri again
 
can anyone in the world of tri running or swimming let me know of any good clubs,routes and/or events in the melbourne area as i am due to be in melbourne in the begining of november and am looking for a tri club to join and i also want to know of some nice trails and street runs i can do ta all and keep triing

You will be spoilt for choice Im sure... Cant help with specifics because Im in sunny Qld.

this is tri-specific forum but a bit "full on" http://www.transitions.org.au/

this is a good resource as well with races in victoria and a Tri section

We are just going into Tri Season - races start in september/october

Get on there and ask the same question I'm sure you'll get lots of help

I'm not in Vic either so can't offer much help on specific clubs. I am sure you have seen this site.

Never did it until I came to Australia. A lot of companies enter the BRW corporate triathlon which is what I do sometimes. It is a short course but done in all the cities.

I did it in Sydney Harbour. Mexicans here swear the place is just as warm as anywhere else.

You should also try USM Events and the Challenge Series for Tri's in Victoria you can enter.

If I move there I will look into it. I am training for the City 2 Surf in Sydney at the moment. After that I am considering an Ocean Swim and maybe a tri in the New Year. I would love to do the Bondi Bronte. The Coogee to Bondi sounds a bit much to me.

Lots of Tri clubs around the Bayside area of Melbourne -http://www.melbournetriclub.com/

The Tri season starts in Melbourne in November with two series running side by side. I have done the Gatorade one and going to do them again this year

thanks for all your help ladies and gents if you do happen to see a big lardass 30 somthing being sick at the side of the road or falling over with his boots still in his pedals at one of these events chances are it will be me so spare a thought and stop and gives a hand ta hope to see you soon nick:eek::eek::eek:
