How long does it take for UK tax rebate to process?
We're planning on leaving late late next year, partly to maximise the tax return we'll get as non residents. Anyone know how long it takes to process the whole thing and get lovely cash in your bank account?

Mine took about 3 months. I was told that this is a good turnaround.

Ah, so anything between three weeks and three months?! Ok, so we won't rely on that money to buy us the flat screen 9ft telly which the OH thinks we're getting as soon as we land....

It won't be much anyway, You won't have paid shed loads since the beginning of April. Don't forget to claim back any unused TV licence fee.

I won't but my OH will! He pays a fortune every month. Never even thought of the the TV license, nice one!

Anything you've paid upfront once a year, you should get a refund. Water, rates etc etc. I know we did with water but can't remember about rates - worth trying anyway.
