Tiawamutu's House Build

Re: Tiawamutu's House Build
There are two types of protection for the slab during curing but it doesn't affect the time whichever they use.
One style is to cover the concrete with polythene, the other is to spray on a sort of acrylic coating. They both do the same thing: prevent the concrete drying too fast and cracking badly. Very important in hot/windy weather. They should be building on it in ten days or so.

Today I went up to see if anything had changed, and it looks like they have laid the fibre optic network cables, and electric cables.
There were also 2 extra waste pipes in front of where the master bedroom will be.
Havent a clue what they are for

Are there any tradies who can tell me what those different cables are, and the white thin pipes that are sticking up in the middle of it all?

Telephone, Extra TV Channels and Internet....Bit like Cable in the UK
It also will have a communication network so anyone in Somerly (the suburb we will be living in) can communicate with each each other and send e-mail type messages. Somerly also has it's own website, which I am a member of already.

I think they like to leave it 7 to 10 days to cure. Ours got a damn good curing as it was 2 months till the bricks were delivered. But, don't worry once the bricks start the process seems to fly by. Our roof trusses are now finished, and the electrician goes in at the end of the week, then the colourbond goes on. I'm sure it will slow up again at lock-up though, but it actually looks like a house now which is quite exciting.
