If your bringing over any electrical stuff from the UK, buy as many converters (i.e. british to Oz plugs) as poss. I brought 8 over with me and use the lot since I have settled in my new home.

Or, bring one british plug strip with 5 or so British plugholes on it, but change the plug on the end of that so that it is Australian.
Then you have Australian power supply for British plugs.
