Default CV Help

Can anyone give me any advice on a CV for My husband as a Vehicle Painter.
Is it called a CV or Resume?
How long should it be?
Should it have a job description in it like the skills assessment requirements?
Does anyone know or have had there CV produced professionally where i can get his done and how much should i pay?
I always think the home CV never look very professional , or am i wrong?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Personal i would call it a resume.

have a look at this link

From experience and IMO you can tell the difference between a home resume and a professional one but this often works against the applicant.
There are resume examples within microsoft word if you have it, and you can just enter your details.
Don't know about OZ resumes but i have heard that it should be more detailed than a UK one.

cheers

Hi Hindon,

It is called a resume. The length is a matter of debate, and you will probably get a different opinion depending on who you ask. Generally Ozzie resumes are longer than UK ones, but that depends on profession. When my husband lived in Sydney a few years ago he didn't change it from the UK format and he found a job no problem.

Take a look here for a bit of further info: www.yellabrickroad.com/cvupdate
Also the site andydon recommended is good.

It depends on the type of occupation it is designed for. In profession and semi-professional occupations is usually referred to as CV. For non-professional usually referred as resume'.

Hi,

I do professional CV's for people applying for jobs in Australia and if required I will set up P.O Box's within Sydney area only as I am based in Sydney. Expats providing local address's will find it easier to get interview /jobs than providing an overseas address.

If interested please (PM The Poster) Email Address Removed
