Hi Rachel,

Got a tattoo on the small of my back. Didn't hurt, just felt like a dentists drill. Healed really quickly too.

Good luck with it.

hello there,on the pain side of having a tattoo it is down to where you have it,i had 2 of my daughters names on my chest and jesus they hurt but had my wifes name in old english letters across the top of my back and no probs at all.and the worst place to have a tattoo is the soles of your feet and your inside arm at the top and after having a celtic band done i bloody believe them.....cant think why anyone would want there feet done anyway.but there u go that came straight from the tattoo artist mouth

I've got a celtic design on my shoulder, and "welcome aboard" on my old man!

The shoulder didn't hurt much (was quiet enjoyable), but the other one........that hurt. My dad was in agony!!

What did you think I meant.

Original topic :

Ann-Marie has a dolphin on her lower back.
Had her meds and only the one blood test, doctor knew about the tat but didn't seem bothered.

Side-topic :

We both have a tat, got them done last year.
Ann-Maries was probably more painful than mine because of it's location ( mine is upper arm ). ann-maries only love in life is her kids and dolphins so there was only ever one option for her.

I had wanted one since i was 18 but due to it being for life, not just for christmas was concerned that it had to be special and it is................to me.Most people that see it have no idea whatsoever what it is and that's just fine by me, because it isn't for them.

I will say tho, that between reading this thread and writing this post i have to spoken to my tat man and got the wheels in motion for my next one, ( gonna make a couple of sketches for me )
Tattoos are very common today so renth was quite right in his comments, tho i must admit tht i read them in a derogatory manner aswell

Loved the old man gag and the prince albert.

As said previously, I'm having another tattoo on Wednesday. Been looking on the internet for inspiration (looking for sun/moon/stars) but haven't had much luck, anyone know of any decent web sites for designs?

Thanks

Hi there Rach,
Havent emailed for a long time. We used to live in Loch Road, and brought a flat from you in Mann and Co. Well I am just 40 but two years ago I had a tattoo done on my left arm. Like a band but right the way round. If you are gonna have an arm band, have it done right round. It looks odd if it stops just before it goes underneath. I went to Steve along Ashley Road. He is one of the best around. It wasnt a sharp pain, but you knew something was going on. Its like a pin dragging across your arm. It was well worth the 120 quid and I love it. You are never to old to have one and they are very addictive coz once you have one, you are always looking to get another. Hope it helps. Look if we can have kids, then we can definately have a tattoo done. Keep in touch, Louisaxxx The tattoo place is next to Pendicks kbab place.
