Do you remember what happened to me on the way to my medical with a moth crawling out from my sun visor? Yep......70mph on the motorway and I'm hysterical in the front seat........failed my blood pressure reading big time

Luckily my GP took it 3 times a few days later when I was calm and I passed

That's not Tas - that's me in the Canaries on my avatar!
I'll have to change it later - feel like a different picture anyway!I love the Canaries - especially Fuerteventura - we said if we didnt emigrate to Oz then we were contemplating buying a small business and moving there....would have been nearer to home i guess.... The Islands are normally one of our winter holiday destinations so we've been to them quite a few times over the years so parts kind of feel a bit like home... I get the same feeling in the Balearics as well. Especially Ibiza. I love that Island...but for work and to buy property its a no go for us ordinary souls!

Have to agree with you there Zoe. Flies are a pain in the bum! In Perth last year they were VERY annoying.... we had the quickest picnic i'd ever been on one day whilst out with Andy's family! They were flying up our noses and in our ears - yuk!

I've only just gone back into the dining room

Andrew thinks my fear of spiders will result in us coming back to the UK. Really need to be sure if going in the first place is a viable option for us now

have you considered having some aversion therapy to help you conquer your fear of bugs?
I used to be shit scared of spiders and now they don't bother me nearly so much.

Huntsman curl up real small when they die, they are all long legs, not too big for a vacuum hose IMO

May have to do something soon though!!!

I'll be checking if there are any crawlies under the therapists sofa!!!!

I think Eden will be ok - and Jared's too young to be bothered at the moment!
Eden wasnt that keen on the Huntsman we saw in Perth - but didnt scream or run away - she just didnt go too near it!

Curiousity normally gets the better of her anyway. We discovered this week that we have rats getting into the compost bin at the bottom of our garden. They're getting in through the soil underneath and tunnelling their way up to the new contents each day!
Andy bought a trap/poison the other day - and yesterday him & Eden went down the garden to see if they'd "caught" anything - and she came running back all excited because they had!
She was shouting so loud i had to tell her to be quiet - she was well advertising the fact we had rats in the garden!
We know they're coming from the river just 4 houses down from us or from over the fields we back onto - but even so....got to get shot of them - i can just imagine having a viewer round and one running across the lawn!
