Good to catch up earlier. If anyone is in need of more gossip time I'm meeting a lady who's new to Hornsby tomorrow. 11am outside Borders in Westfield (probably then moving onto Gloria Jeans inside, but maybe elsewhere).x

Welcome to the Northern Beaches! A group of us (without kids) are meeting at Terrey Hills Tavern tomorrow for lunch which you would be welcome to come along to if you have someone to watch the kids, otherwise I will be trying to arrange a meet for Monday or Tuesday of next week so keep your eyes open for details. . .

Hi Caroline and Binbird! Well, we arrived in Oz mid November but spent two or three weeks touring a bit checking out possible places to live before deciding that the Northern Beaches won hands down! We moved into our rental just before Christmas. Hubbie's Australian but originally from Melbourne and has been living in the UK for over 20 years (since meeting me!) so we are starting from scratch here. We have three children: 13, 11 and 8 yrs who are starting to go a bit stir crazy as they haven't been to school since July... We decided to take some time out and do a bit of a family road trip through the States on our way here. Mostly it was great, but the novelty of being together 24/7 is beginning to wear off....! Roll on the start of term.

We are meeting from midday (see the other thread re 5 January!). I don't know if you have been to the Tavern yet but there is a large covered outdoor area and we will try to pick a visible spot so listen out for the English accents! If you'd prefer I could pm you my mobile number then you could call if you can't find us. . . .
