Anyone know people overseas who have stupid misconceptions of Australia.
For example l knew someone who thought it was hot every day in OZ and arrived in Sydney in July expecting to go surfing and could'nt believe it was cold. This person also beleived that the outback and desert was about a 30
minute drive west of Sydney.

My SIL told me that I wouldn't be able to hang my washing outside, as it would be covered in insects, which I would then have to iron... to kill them all.
We would also have to check there weren't snakes in the pool (hmmm, what pool?) and that if we stuffed up and came back, no-one would ever talk to us.
My dad (bless him) told me that nasty spiders would come down through the roof and bite us
He has actually listened and stopped that load of nonsense!

Did you see last nights news? something like 89% of South Australians said drugs were easy to get, Ok but this cracked me up (no pun intended), most who bought ecstacy at $30 a hit used it at home
Boogie woogie party time
at home in adelaide, who said it was boring down there.
