Arrow Standards of Education in Melbourne Schools

To all those with school age children, can you please share your experiences of standards of education in the schools in melbourne? do they publish similar to our attainment and performance tables? How would you compare melbourne schools to those back in UK?

Now, just getting back to the question posed!

Victoria does not as such publish 'league tables' like in the UK but they publish VCE results in alphabetical order. I'll find a link to the exam results in due course but try this as your entry point:

http://www.eduweb.vic.gov.au/schoolsonline/

Someone has posted the 2005 results in league table style in Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...05_VCE_results

As you should in the UK, take them with a pinch of salt. The 'best' school is not necessarily the one high up in the league tables.

(2006 results only came out last week so analysis won't be completed yet)
