R 6 seater s cost us $7.000 and pool cost $17.000. I use the spa more than the pool but OH and kids (teenagers) use the pool alot but its great stitting with a beer and a good book relaxing in the spa mmm we got the pool from dj pools they were great and the spa from signature spa in joondalup very helpful.tiawamutu just had a nosy at ur my space lol have u not tried bebo yet ?

We just bought a new spa to be installed next month. We used spa world and bought a monarch because our builder (who also installed our pool) recommended them. Don't know the installation costs as it's part of a bigger building project.

They'd stopped doing the hexagonal "knight" which was in our planning approval so we asked what else they had and ended up the Grand Duke with a seconds (slight damage but repaired and same warranties) for 8.5k.

I'm told the running costs might be up to $1000 per annum - horrid thought!

We have bought a pool, which will be put in next month.

Fibreglass pool 10.4m x 4.4m , solar heating, 80m concrete around the pool, retaining wall (we have a sloped block), pool lights, franna crane to carry in the pool, spa jets in pool, solar pool cover, creepy crawly etc etc : $42,300

Still to come : fencing around the pool & paving for around the pool and of course landscaping.

Expected final cost $47,500 approx.

The pool itself was $37,000 but its always the extra's that add up. We did admittedly choose one of the biggest fibreglass pools available with all the extra's, but other quotes we had where either the same or dearer for the same/similar quality.

We did look at sinking an above ground pool, and that would have cost just under half the price for the whole package.

Thats why you don't buy and Oz made spa, no insulation in the cabinet (or very little). So they loose heat and money like a bugger.

Go for the full foam ones, cost more but cost less to keep warm. I think the running cost is about 50c a day.

Yeah they were very good and the after care has also been good, any problems and the odd part has been replaced with no fuss

I actually made a mistake. The pool itself is "only" $34,500. (we where looking at the 12m first which was $37,000) It'll still be around $47k when we finish. You have to be realistic about these things. We have renovated/built many times in the past, and hoping that it wont be as expensive you think never works.

4 weeks and they should have started (if planning permission all goes through ok)

the blow up spas are ok - but you have to replace the filters. we have sold over 250 of them in australia
