Stuff like that is largely going to be down to the AQIS officer you get on the day and their interpretation of the rules......

I did it last year and they reckon it was one of the oddest legal xrays done on baggage! hats was at LGW leaving.

You can find gluten free products in all Australian supermarkets these days.

but if its anything like most of the stuff in the UK, its not the greatest - and as i hate shopping under pressure i would rather have some stuff with us then i can take my time finding where the gluten free stuff is in supermarkets. Dont want to add to my stress levels of house and job hunting

Bring your food, be sure to declare it and be prepared to have it confiscated if the AQIS officer doesn't like it. Don't argue with them, you can't win!

Sounds like it's worth a shot - I almost always declare food anyway just in case I've forgotten something, and I would NEVER argue with quarantine.

I remember coming through with one of my (declared) husband's guitars (one he'd built) and the quarantine guy had a good look at it. I was worried it wouldn't be allowed through until he quickly admitted he was a keen guitarist and started asking Jon loads of questions about how he'd made it!
