Good Luck Btaz, and have a good flight.

Our furniture goes in two weeks and we fly in three. We are dreading saying goodbyes too. I am sure it will be worth it.

I think a lot of us are in the same boat (or plane) we exchanged yesterday and we fly on the 21st of April, we just feel like avoiding people at the last hours because it is going to be too hard to say goodbye!

Hi all,

With the goodbyes you just need to take a deep breath and get through it. It is so worth it when you are at the airport, in the departure lounge and thinking we are on our way!!!!

Hi Folks,

We recieved our Visa's on 7th April and booked our flights last week. We fly with SA on 11th April and will be in Perth on the 12th. All sounds good but now we are tying to find a furnished rental and everywhere seems to be fully booked. Starting to feel like Mary & Joseph now and it's not good. Can anyone point us in the right direction? There are 4 of us and need a 3 or 4 bedrooms for 4 to 6 weeks whilst we find a rental.

Cheers,
Rubydoo.

Try this also,

www.holidaylettings.co.uk. This site might be easier to book as when you use a aussie site they usually charge it to your uk credit card which incurred me a hefty charge.

Hi,

I didn't actually feel nervous until we were in the airport and I was not sure how the kids would travel. They were fantastic most of the way there, only started with the "are we there yet" near the end. everyone felt like it was a big adventure and it was great. We haven't had any problems since arriving and we love it here.

Where abouts are you heading for in Perth?

Sarah

I felt quite emotional when I saw our plane at Heathrow, when the plane took off I just said 'bye London' and that was that.

but nothing prepared me for how 'lost' I would feel once I landed.

Off to Perth as well, when the visa comes through. Finished work last week - contract says I start work in Perth this week! Hmm. Going on a 457 and will be working in the Bentley area, hopefully living not too far from work! Contract is for three years and after that, who knows?

Trying to tidy out the flat at the moment, getting rid of several year's worth of accumulated rubbish. Next job is cancel the TV license and then start to get rid of the furniture!
