I had the heavy duty sump and transmission guard fitted to mine after our jaunt up Mt Mee split the other one. $500 but money well spent of it saves the sump and tranny. It took almost an hour to free mine. I got stuck, Ann bogged the ute behind me but that was minor and came out no bother, then Andy tried to come around behind me and got stuck, again not too deep but enough to need digging. After lots of sand movements and good old pull on the snatch strap from Andy we got moving again. It was interesting watching the tide edge closer to the stranded Pathfinder as we were working on it and it was almost lapping at Andys back wheels by the time his was free
$70 for the front one that protects the rack and piping and $250 for the sump guard i`ll get the front one as that missing but the sump gaurds still there albeit a bit battered so i may make one in steel ( i`ll add it to my to do list ) oops  |

Must point out I only 'bogged the ute' after he stopped in front of me & I couldn't get past which was a shame after Wendy and I had just completed a fantastic Thelma & Louise crossing of the creek.

Bearing in mind the ute you were driving is my company car, I am becoming more and more pleased I didn't actually see you hit the water in it. Maybe looking ahead was a good thing at that point :p It does, however, by some accounts, appear to have been a most impressive creek crossing

Did I have my white bikini on that day? Well I had a preminition it would get me a ride on the helicopter if they were impressed with my assets but turned out they were nice boys and not interested in me at all. So, I had to get a ride back with Cresta.
