I bl88dy well hope so.

Sadly stories like that are becoming more common.

Then there are the ones like I was reading today. Australian 6 year old girl, visiting family in India at the beginning of 2020 and has been stuck there ever since. Parents are in Aus and were refused permission for one of them to go and get her. Finally a distant relative has been given permission to escort her home on a DFAT Repatriation flight. Flying into Darwin, will have to quarantine in Howard Springs, The child has never met this relative before and is desperate to see her parents, and the relative says she has no experience of children whatsoever and is very apprehensive about 2 weeks of looking after the child in close confinement.
The father has offered to go into Howard Springs with his kid, paying his way of course, but the government has refused saying there is no compassionate reason for an exemption to be made. Defies belief really.
