Country fairs basically, a day off if your in a govvy job or a teacher etc, other than that the employer probably ignores it.

I don't know anyone that works on a showday, other than providing cover (then they get a day in leui) ...

Local showday, kids get it off school, most other people work. Heaps of employers dont pay for it. Guess thats because so many are casual or on a contract.
