It's good that the APS has put in that para about the likelihood of equivalence of the Honours degrees because I know our board got its knickers in a knot about it - they fought tooth and nail for the "4 years" for the longest time.

The problem he has over here is that he doesn't have the 4 year psych under grad degree. It will be down to the aps assessnent if he will ever be able to work over here in either field. He is also struggling to get on post grad psych courses to. I hope something comes out of it.
We heard just before Christmas that my husbands qualifications have been assessed and been given the equivalent of 3 years of undergraduate psychology. He is going to be finding out what courses he had get onto now as most university had point blank refused to take him on anything post grad or honours but this may have changed.

I am not sure what the requirements are for an honours over here. I am assuming you need the full 4 years to get on post grad. It will be great news though that some of his study is counting towards it because starting over was ruled out with 2 small children and another one on the way.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what Universities in WA would be good to approach it would be much appreciated.

Regards

Poppet
