Hi,
i have just joined today and have been reading your posts on a place in the sun and thought that i would let you know that a new series of Wanted Down Under starts on Monday at 4pm on uktvstyle channel 246 on sky.
I am currently training as a nurse and hope to make the move to oz with my husband and 2 children once i have qualified. I know that its not going to be as smooth sailing as these programmes make out, but it's just something i got to do otherwise i will regret it and at the end of the day i would rather regret the things i've done!

Who was drawing comparisons between Australia and the UK? It is simply an observation about Australia which alot of people miss. You see alot of hardship working in the public sector. Of course the UK is not immune, but I am sorry you seem to sceptical about the UK - there are many nice people there too, doing alot of good.
Thanks for you charitable contribution. Have a great day.

I thought the presenter was highly irritating. She reminded me of a typical estate agent, out for herself and not really listening or respecting what the couple wanted or getting annoyed if they change their mind. Luckily in the end they found something they liked. I hope they enjoy Melbourne.

Do find this thread annoying has been well and truly hijacked by some posters to meet their own needs.
Have to say didn't really enjoy the show..... hopefully the next couple are more consistent with what they want and come present themselves better

I thought she was unprofessional, full of herself and opinionated. When they looked at that house which had the nice garden but was hideous inside she seemed irritated with them. Yet they are the ones who have to live there and have every right to change their mind. I didn't like her attitude that she seemed to take it personally. If she was a professional she would have respected their opinion and move on. Instead she came accross as quite bitchy and annoyed that they didn't like it. At least with Phil and Kirsty when someone changes their mind they have a joke and a laugh about it and move forward. Amanda seemed to be much more immature. Sorry - I just didn't like her!

If any one missed it, go to channel4.com and go to the "catch up" bit. Never seen that feature before thought it was great, all the last programmes on from the last 30 days.

Didn't think of that! You're a star, here's the direct link
Edit: Oh, and you'll need WMP 11+ and a genuine version of Windows *grumble*
