Hi All,

Like many others I have watched this series a few times. Its also on the travel channel at 6am this week!

A thing to consider is that you only see programmes that invite comments..like the ones above.....its the conflict and tension that make TV viewable...and you only see what they want you to see.
Also included in the originial screening of the series were at least two other families - if I remember correctly - but they were not really "gripping". Lorraine Singleton stands out as an example of conflict and rewsolve. But imagine her real situation...set off to Aussie with just £3000 - no where to live..no job and two kids to care for and sorted it all out.Brave woman.

On a brighter note... I think Esmay and her rancid, sarcastic, "fitness expert" mother treated a nice man very badly and deserve to have their legs smacked hard!

Snag is each time they come on TV ....I watch them again...and again and I think its becasue they have made the trip...got the visa and are doing what we want to do for ourselves...get there and live the life.

Don't know about you but I'd have been well pleased with that rented house, it was huge with a pool and looked great (apart from a few spiders, I caually add )
Moan, moan, felt sorry for the daughter of the family whose son has gone back home, her mum is just busy feeling sorry for herself and she's left feeling lost on her own.
Full of admiration for the Singletons, appear to be a great family!
More 2moro!

Yes, I've seen it a few times too.

I always liked the Singletons and teh Vorsters (one of whom posted on here recently). The rest just seemed to complain a lot. Oh, and I forgot until today how rude Esme was. I did feel sorry for the poor bloke who had to put up with them.

Still, can't knock them until I've done it myself

and the Singleton Mum gives all of us that are going on our own with the kids hope
