I'd have to agree with Bluekipper, wait a while longer, unpack all the boxes or get rid of the crap in the boxes unopened (tell I have done this before !!), then you will be able to make your house a home and not a temporary stopover as it seems as present.
It takes a long time to make a house a home - no matter what country your in!
Each country has its good points and bad points and neither will be perfect so stick it out a bit longer and set up home, then maybe you can decided for definite where you want to be.
Having done this 4 times now and each time for what we thought were valid reasons we are now in a situation where hubbie finally has a good job we now discover that our 15 year old son didn't want to come back here this time but couldn't tell us. He now wants to return to Perth, go to Uni and set up home there. As he has spent 10 of his 15 year life in Perth, its understandable. We have no idea whether to go back next year or not now.

Tell ya, Bluekipper, its driving us loopy too! Just like you one day we are def going back then decide the next we cant cos of GCSE exams and all the implications associated with them, if he wants them at all.
We thought the first decision we made to emigrate was the toughest but I have to say that each subsequent decision has been equally as hard, its seems as though no one way is the easiest to take, all are hard. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind hard work but mental hard work is absolute torture on me and I find it harder and harder as I get older to make decisions. There are so many more things to think about too, or is that just cos I am wiser (or like to think so anyway!)
We thought we had a great relationship with our son being able to talk to him about anything, we thought, but this only came to light because his married sister is still in Perth and they obviously have talked more. I suppose I have to be thankful its come to light now rather than in a few years time accompanied by a lot of resentment from him, at least this way its out in the open and we can discuss it openly.
I still say, stick it out a tad longer, then try and decide, sooner or later you will start leading to one side rather than the other.

We need help , we left oz two years ago after obtaing PR, to come back to UK to sell our house, which we did quite quickly. But we are still in the UK in a rented house, we can not decide if we want to return to OZ (I did have a job to go to but had to turn it down when we could not decide what to do).
The weather here is crap!! what happened to the british summer???? Sould we give OZ another go our lives feel like they are on hold, not settled her but not sure if we sould go back.

British Summer, yes exactly what british summer. I may be getting old but I swear summers were warmer when I was younger!!!
Good luck

Totally agree, I feel like we moved to the tropical rainforest or something,, so sick of it,, my Ausie BBQ is still wrapped up in the shed, thought id use it loads, how wrong was i?
I am swayed towards going bk mainly due to weather and nice beaches space etc etc,, cant imagine retiring here in the UK how scary, sorry if its where you prefer, but each to their own,, I also agree with your statement on how hard it is to make the desicion to go home & then bk again... glutton for punishment or what?
Just dont want my kids (18 & 13) to blame me for not getting bk whilst we had visa`s and chance to. I know il never have the job I have here over there,,, doubt it anyways, but I cant let that sway me into staying just because I love my job, more to life and all that!
good luck to all
