Thank you Kevin for your comment it was really helpfull. I would just like to say I left school with 5 GCSE's and will be starting TAFE after christmas.
I would like to say thank you all for your comments and yes I have left my friends in the U.K and am starting again. All I was asking for was to meet up with people of my own age.

Hey give the lad a break, He has only asked to meet people his own age.
That is why my son is not coming out, At 19 There is no way he would go back to school and he knows it will be hard for him to make friends straight away, even with joining rugby or footy clubs it will still be hard for them.
It will take a little time but you will find good friends again.
My son is just going to work, there is frost all over the cars and had to de ice and saying how cold it is and winter is only just starting. He is in the construction industry and would be able to get a good job straight away, But at this time still doesnt want to come.
As he said if it was 2 years ago and he was at school there would be no problem.
I just wish my son was coming out with us, we leave 1st December.

and i know how hard it is moving here.....i lived in sydney and made loads of friends at school but now im in the gold coast just recently moved .....and i dont know any1 but im taking a gamble ...and i know how hard its going to be for me but i know soon as i start working i will be able to make friends it is harder but it will become easier and its a shame he wont be coming but he should least try it ,start work and see how it goes its hard for me sometimes but i know it will get easier the more i try ...but i know a few people now and it helps a lot that im not on my own and i know exactly what your son is thinking but least if he tries it and if he doesnt like it then he could go back. I tried it because i didnt want to sit so far away from my family and sit thinking what if? or what would it of been like? the hardest thing for me was my family having xmas and new year without me them going to the beach doing amazing things when i was living in sydney myself ..its the worst feeling ever, even coming from scotland i had the choice but i wanted to see what it was like and didnt want to miss out a massvie opportunity that not alot of people can do......so i just wanted to let you know ..i understand what hes thinking .
