Anyway, best of luck for the future, wherever it lies. At least you've had the guts to try and the nouse to be flexible if things don't work out. Thats not a bad formula, so here's to future successes (wherever they are)!
All the best.

We had a points test done today by OE, the passmark being 67 and we scored 72! So, we have the option of trying for Vancouver now (which I have to say is kinda exciting as Im a bit of a ski bum and my best friend lives in San Fran.
) We are not yet ready to consign Oz to the bins but at least we feel we are not going to have to resign ourselves to dying in the UK!
Oh and I spoke to my migration agents today and HOPEFULLY we should at least get 50% of our fee refunded plus our fee to DIMIA so at least £1500 winging its way!
Thanks so much for all of your support so far...it means a lot!!!!

Hi Lucy. All the best with wherever you end up. My niece loved Vancouver - tooooo cold for me though
And even if you do decide on Canada, regardless of what some people say, you will always be very very welcome on this forum because your friends will always want to know how you are getting on
. Do not allow numpties to upset you, there are far more of us wishing you well

Exactly that - chin-up girlie, one idiot does not speak for the rest of us. Good luck for whatever you end up doing, having a plan B seems like a great option. You're still following a dream, just a modified one!!

Hi Lucy
Have been following your saga over the last few weeks. You have a never give up attitude and will do well where ever you end up. My friends were in Vanvouver earlier this year and loved it. Good luck to you.

Hi Lucy
Great plan B. I find the Canadians warm and generous people and I've been lucky enough to have worked with them for 9 years in my current job, best of all they hate the Yanks just as much as us
. Been to Vancouver (95) and loved it, remember it as one of the cleanest tidiest cities I've ever been to and very cosmopolitan to boot. Close to the ski resort of Whistler (what I went for) which is one of the best in North America.
I will always remember seeing the Whales blowing away as we drove back along the coastroad from Whistler to Vancouver. Stunning city, great people and a beautiful country. Hang on...do I see a Plan B for us forming too.
All the very best for you and yours wherever you end up. Keep your chin up and don't let the bas**rds grind ya down

Good for your girl! Could tell from your threads, that you'd bounce back! Vancouver's lovely, have family there and decided if I couldn't return to Oz, it'd be my next choice.

Thanks guys. That t*sser KingofCats really peed me off today, but now I know he was just a really hairy ole troll. Probably a 35 year old pervert with no girlfriend, unsightly body hair, a hair lip and still living at home! ( and a chronic masturbator!)

i just want to ask will you get the DIMIA application fee refund from DIMIA itself or from your agent based on the contract you signed with him.
finally i wish u the best of luck in going to Canada, don't listen to any BullSH*T, u have to be persitsant to get what u want, it will just take more time for your application to process for canada

DIMIA will refund the fee and our agents have 'kind of' agreed to refund half their fee (about £880)
