The only acceptable way for a bloke to have one of those Teddy bear biscuits, is to cut the head and toes orf, stick one end in a glass of port, and suck the port up through the biscuit. This can only be done, when the beer has ran out, your totally pissed, and your mates have gone home.

ooh just thought of some Angus Park dried apricots.. not the bloody rubbery things available here can't stand them...

Arnott's Tim Tams (available in Tesco), mint slice, mandarin slice etc, butternut snaps and savoy crackers. Bellis fruit bars (apricot bites with coconut my fav). Fresh fruit and veg in season from a roadside stall or the Queen Victoria Market (also the cheeses, meat and fish there).

The aforementioned cherry ripes, peppermint crisp, polly waffle (doesn't she half), violet crumble (nice to know they are in Superdrug who also sell a pale imitation of the Twistie called nik naks), Twisties and Cheesels, Kool Mints, fruit tingles, Lifesavers, bananas, chocolate bananas, the big jelly beans you get in the chemist, etc, etc.

Unfortunately Campbell's have taken over Arnott's and reduced the size of everything and Allen's, MacRobertson's (remember the snack bar?) etc have gone Nestle's way.

Lamington's, coffee scrolls, pavlova, decent bread, decent honey. I'd better stop.

Yeah, forgot snakes. Bassett's make quite good ones here. We also used to get apricot bites covered in yoghurt - very expensive but worth it. Stone fruit I haven't tried but it must be good. I remember Jupiter Caramel Bars too - shades of Paul Kelly 'I remember, I remember everything' (Leaps and Bounds) Enjoy in 5 weeks time, we'll be back July'ish to savour.

Darrell Lea do the best soft eating licorice (in Vic anyway).

Decent sultanas, raisins etc
