Best way to describe WA is.. nothing here.

no there are no beaches,penguin,seals,dolphins,stingray,pelecon,se a life centre,hillaries,penguin island,rotness,barbecues in the park ,parks,kings park,water skiing ,jet skiing,scuba diving,fishing,walks,pubs,clothes shops,drive through bottle shops,irish bars,freeo,markets,and open air cinemas

You will see some shops in every suburb, but you will find them closed than they are open.

well go when they are open,it's their town get used to it

live in Ardross and last Saturday 2.30PM I started with Applecross Hair Saloon - Closed, Mt Pleasent - Could not find a Saloon, Appsley Rd shopping center - Closed, Valhand Avenue - nice Chinese lady.. open. I traveled across 3-4 suburb to cut my hair.

get a mobile hair dresser to come in

That's the reality here.
You have buses, but only during the time profitable for them to run. Very hard to find a taxi.

bike, walk.have you tried ring and ride,i am sure they will lay a buss on for you.

Houses prices are unthinkable and no value for money at all. Rent, nothing left to rent. Everyone is trying to sell.

pick up a bargain

No places to eat out.. may be one or two places in each suburb. So you will end up eating at home everyday unless someone decide to open up a new restaurant. That's what has happened to us. Only good place to shop around is a place called Garden City in this area. That too closed most of the time than open.

there are loads of places to eat, sisserelos for one, nice paster place near perth, barbie in the park.have you ever tried chili muscles..

I do not think even Hospitals here are open. The closest public hospital to where I am living is Fremantle. That's the distance I have to travel to get the govt benefits. Otherwise, pay for private. I do not have kids here, my friends are saying it is the same situation with schools.
well lets hope you never go ,apart from when you have to pick up your valium.

You do not have traffic and air pollution compared to where we migrated from. Instead, you get traffic lights every 100Mts taking more time to travel around .

is this in the taxi or on the bus you can not get

I am sorry, this is my version. I do not have much good things to share with you other than the good job that I got in a very nice company.

that will change give it time.

I am really wondering how anyone say this is a wonderful place to live??? without saying what Perth/WA has. Beach.. you get all around Australia!!!

come home then, loads of taxis, busses full of screaming yobs, fish and chips, kebabs, head punched at the hospital because you looked in the wrong direction and litter all over the place..

you cannot be serious about your post, you must be walking round with your eyes shut...

sorry but its true...

Dont know where you live but we are in the North, shopping until 6pm, late night Thursday, closed Sunday but I dont mind that.
We eat out a couple of times a week, sometimes quite late, enough places for variety.
Trains are frequent and run well into the night, can't comment on buses as i drive.
I work at a hospital and we are never closed believe me i sometimes wish we were
Yes house prices have rocketed but so has the UK, depends on what sort of property you are looking for and what you are willing to pay, we have a large mortgage but we had the same in the UK without the better lifestyle.
As for nothing to do? we are having trouble fitting it all in, Life here is what you make it, you have to go out there and explore.

There from Bangkok, been on here for a couple of months, every post is the same in that its a struggle to make sense of it in the first place, is generally complete rubbish but usually makes for a good read if your bored and need a laugh....

Just what I was thinking - well it gave me a good laugh anyway.
Can't understand how anyone can be so negative. OK, so Perth isn't utopia but come on, it ain't that bad!
