Any thoughts on a nissan x-trail?

Always gets top reviews here in the uk?

Parents had one and they liked the fit out but could not wait to get rid of it as it did not hold corners well and felt unstable.

Interestingly - the review of the x-trail by jason dawes in the sunday times states

"Good levels of equipment and strong engines are not the X-Trail’s only virtues; they also drive well. All models corner with a minimum of body roll, the steering is accurate and the suspension soaks up speed bumps and potholes with aplomb."

were they actually comparing the xtrail to another 4x4 like the outlander?
