The problem as I see it is that the US does not have a legal system that can do "justice" in this case. But I guess time will tell, there is certainly a big ground swell of public opinion that says "something aughta be done" but what?

He does indeed have some serious mental issues. He is a serial liar and yet seems to believe the lies coming out of his own mouth. For example, he claims to have had, at most, only two minor pieces of plastic surgery. Claims that his skin tone is purely the result of a genetic fault and that the police dislocated his shoulder (despite, as pointed out earlier, he managed to raise both arms in a victory salute when leaving the police station). That's just the tip of the iceberg. Because he lies in such a seemingly naive and innocent way and acts like an eight year old some assume he's not capable of child abuse. But once you just think of him as a 45 year old man the whole thing is very disturbing.
Personally I think he should have been locked up years ago for writing 'We are the world'.
