You've stayed at our place Amy so you can just picture it.
Im trying to stay awake as if I sleep too early, I wake too early.

Well done Sam & Abdel -another (major) step forward in your quest to dine with John Howard.
Have you started packing yet??
I see you're saving shedloads by not drinking now

No you dont have to do anything else.
We did form 80s and sent it with our visa application which was received 21 Feb.
From March they changed the 47sk form and form 80 and although our application was received Feb, acknowledged 7th March, the 47sk we did is fine as it was received in Feb.
However, DIMA may well ask for the new version of form 80 and we shall send it to agent just in case they do. Its 6 pages instead of 2.

We were never big drinkers anyway and if a bottle of low alcohol lager gives us a headache, can you imagine what wine would do
John Howard is preparing himself as we speak and has promised to meet me at Perth Airport! (I can wish can't I?)

I reckon its a stressful last part of the journey and myself am having nightmares as to what/if they find anything wrong with me
So I feel a thread to support those going through the same would be good.
I shall start, we have our meds tomorrow at Harley Street, its £40 each for the Xray and £130 for the meds.
We shall have to pay extra for the Hep B test as I have a small tattoo on my arm, although I am Hep B vaccinated and always have been.
I went to the panel doctor to book appointment and first impressions are, that they are really friendly and informal. The Xrays are done a few doors down about 20 mins prior to your medical, so you have them to give to the doctor.
I will let you know how we found it when its done.
Has anyone else got anything to add regarding medicals?

Had my medicals today and my blood pressure was high...
Everything else was fine urine/ xray clear and bloods but I have to get an appointment with my doctor and forward on my ecg results from 6 weeks ago and panel doctor says that there will be no problems with this.
Hmmm like my bloodpressure isnt going to be high when a doctor takes it.
Two readings at home this morning 134/84 no probs... doctor takes 3 reading from me 170/100 - 155/93 150/90 says is white coat syndrome buggar.
Still trying to get an appointment with the doctor but nothing till next week typical.
Wifes was perfect so at least we should be fine as shes the main applicant.
Any views ?

How much are they?
Is it worth getting them done now rather than waiting?
Thanks

Thanks for that.
Been to Oz twice now to see my brother and studied for 5 years with the Open University whilst working full time to get my degree which came through 3 weeks ago (before we flew out).
There is no chance of us not liking it and the house will be the first thing to go. I already have a couple of people interested and not even had an estate agent out to value it yet. The thing I will miss is my toyota landcruiser but that will be the first thing I buy when I land. The kids didn't want to come back and wanted me to register them with a school whilst we were there and the husband is going to be a house husband whilst I work. It's perfect for us all.
