Hi, we are in Livingston, but used to live in Edinburgh, and hopefully heading for Perth. Kinda lost heart in the process just now, the waiting just for a CO is depressing . When we do get CO, that will be a different story . With all these scots going to melbourne thought we could be swayed!!!! There will always be someone to have a with eh?!

hi there,

noticed your thread asking about Frankston, i have a friend who lives in Mornington - its a lovely place, really nice, Frankston is ok for shops & stuff. We have been to oz twice and lived with a friend for the 3 weeks of both trips. Its a lovely place - my friend has 2 small kids & has no problems with nursery or schools at all. Nice place to live

cheers

Is there any one on this site from Edinburgh area who is going thru the same thing?

Just wondering because it's hard to talk about future plans to the people who we're leaving behind.

Hi to everyone that's already moved.

Steve.

we're in Perth. Have been for 2 years now.

Had no real problems with leaving the folks in Glasgow. No beating about the bush it was tearful leaving and still is when we have rellys and friends over and its time to take them to the international departures.

Have no intention of going back to the coldest of god's own country.
I'll settle for second best here in WA.

why melbourne? God help you if you join Bordy and his Essendon Scallywags

Hi.

Wife wants Melbourne cos it has 4 seasons. I'm milk bottle white and don't think too much sun would agree with me.

Nice to hear from people who are still over there as read lots of posts about unhappy people wanting to come home.

Don't believe that we don't get to much sun, we get plenty of 30 plus days & a handful of 40 plus days throughout summer.
Three months of Winter can be a bit dreich but the other 9 are great.

Wouldn't live anywhere else but Melbourne now.
