We're near Falkirk, hoping to go out end of the year to either Adelaide or Melbourne (depending on which visa we end up with).

I agree with Sandra - get your other half to come join us in Dundee in a couple of weeks. When we met in January, none of us had met before but we had a real laugh.

Thanks for all replies.

Didn't realise so many Scots moving to Melbourne area.

Hardest part is waiting for paperwork and trying to decide where to live.

I'm a biker so i need good roads, but also want somewhere to learn to scuba dive.

Anyone know where about they're moving to.

People who are already there. Where's the best place to live for kids?

It's Melbourne for me......... my two sisters & their families are already settle in North Ringwood, so the decision is already made for us.

We're a 139 visa and going by austimeline we should have our visa end of July early Aug.......... it can't come quick enough. (My parents are also moving)

We have 2 boys aged 4 & 5 and have never been to Melbourne before, so we did loads of research in here (which is great) and other sites, and found that in Mornington peninsula (SE Melbourne) there are plenty of nice areas which are great for kids. Our first choice was South Frankston (still possibility) but prefer Mornington. We will just have to wait until get there and check out for ourselves, we are renting serviced apartments, or a caravan for first few weeks to allow us time to look around at areas and houses. I sort of had the area picked out before we even decided to go ahead with our application.

Have a look here

good luck in your search
