hiya rooksie i hope this is a small consolation the first agent we used charged us over 3000 pounds and we still hadnt had a positive tra result. asked them why it had cost us so much their reply was because ours was a complex case what a load of bull anyway we told them to sling their hook and went with another agent. got tra no problem so dont lose heart like us you may just have been unlucky good luck crozz.

Keep your head up, we know its hard but if you really want it stick with it and you will get there in the end. We used to moan about the money we spent but now we have the visas we don't care ( just a bit ). Hope you can turn it around soon good luck

l would'nt want to live in a remote, backward small town in OZ , which is why l don't and most people immigrating to OZ won't be either.
As for OZ being" small minded suburbia" don't most people in Britain also live in Suburbs, where do you live Eatstatic in a tree house or a cave? Australian suburbs are alot nicer then British suburbs, there are alot more trees, parks and open spaces and people live in larger houses with larger gardens and many have swimming pools in their backyards. As for DIMIA being thieves, no one is forcing anyone to immigrate to OZ if you think DIMIA's fees are too expensive and not worth the cost then don't go. l am sure Aussies who want to immigrate to the Uk would have to pay just as much or even more fees.
From the previous posts it seems the immigration agents are the thieves not DIMIA

We have been at it for 2 years now there is no fast track, we used 4 corners and it has cost us about 5 grand but did get our visa.Im a chef and got 60 points for that but it took a long timr to get T.R.A reconition, but if you have good agent's (4 corners have a 98% sucess rate) it will happen but is a real grind and be prepared for lots of up's and down's.Contact a good agent and if feel you have a good case they will get you through but remember the amount of points you recicve for your trade can go up and down.
So good luck and hang in there.

For someone who has never left Australia, you seem to know a lot about the UK.

Wombat, I slag Australia and its souless depressing braindead suburbs because I LIVED in them. Until you apply for your passport and check out the world outside godzone I suggest you keep your ignorant assumptions of the UK to your rednecked self.
