I currently ride a GSXR 750, looked at prices over there; rather expensive, I have had my bike a year in feb, so was wondering what is needed to be able to import my baby over??
Also are there any bikers/groups in and around OZ
heaps of bikers/groups & clubs all over oz, so no shortage of ride buddies.

Ill have a quick look, but im sure there is a gixxer forum for Oz riders. Maybe they can give you a realisitc indication as to what you will end up paying if you buy here.

there are a couple of bike thread on here that have indications on costings etc. do a quick search and youll find them.

so glad I found this thread! was looking for the answers to this as I've just spent ages rebuilding my GSXR and didn't want to sell but looks like it'l be the lesser of two evils! found a few nice candidates in aus already, and think I'm going to go for another gixxer out there

There are taxes involved as well as roadworthy certificates & rego needed for on road vehicles. I would suggest contacting a specialist in vehicle imports regarding the exact costs involved.

Although the value of bikes is quite a bit higher than in the Uk, once shipped & made compliant for over here, after all the extra costs involved the difference soon dissappears.

check out values on : www.bikesales.com.au (prices are asking prices, and not what you will end up paying) to give you some idea. Car & bike sales are hard work over here as well at the moment.

depending on the size, age & brand of off road bikes you have, you can pick up something half decent from about $2000 upwards if you search around.
