Immigrating to Australia

Re: Immigrating to Australia
I think that that statement shows you really need to do some research on Australia and it's climate, dependent of where you are, there are tropical storms and flooding, or extremely dangerous wildfires, the like of which you NEVER see in the UK, which is why there is aq specific area of the OZ forum for warnings about . flood, fire, cyclones and tsunami. The UK doesn't really get anything apart from, compared to OZ, mild flooding.

Re: Immigrating to Australia
Oh.....BTW...make sure you know the difference between Emigrating (from the UK) and Immigrating (TO Australia). The first word, emigrant, is a noun that describes someone who has left their native homeland in order to settle in another country: For example, “many emigrants left their European home nations in the nineteenth century and headed to the land of opportunity in the US of A”.
In the OP case he will be Emigrating FROM the UK...well...thats the hope anyway!
The second word, immigrant, is also a noun but this word describes someone who has already entered and settled in another country and has already embarked on a new life there. For example, “it is often the case that many new immigrants can only find low paying manual jobs.”
