Many thanks for all this. All extremely useful.

We're currently in NZ and hating it - not that relevant but the visa for this took about 4 months from application (post-meds, police checks, etc) to grant. I'm seeing that it takes a bit longer for Oz but I think more people want to go there!

I see it took you 4 months for your visa to be granted.. have you any idea on how long OZ is??

Just remember that if you do the Meds and police checks early you will have a shorter time in which to validate after the visa is granted..

We have been told by our agent that it will take between 12 to 18 months. This includes the TRA as well and we are collecting everything together for this at the moment. We are applying for a skilled independent 136 MODL visa and are just going by what our agent has been telling us.
