Well yes, he does always have "something ready to eat for the ladies", but it's not exactly on his shirt - a bit lower down.

I would of thought that was pretty natural even the biggest fashion victim would find it hard to wear a fur lined tank top in 40 degrees!

Not where I come from.

I'm not talking about anything spectacular, just a plain old white t shirt with a diddy quicksilver logo that you can hardly see.

Not value for money if you ask me.

totally agree about not being value for money, but still seems an average if not cheap price for a designer one

I just noticed that the Australian Fashion Week is on in Sydney this week - http://www.afw.com.au/ and thought it appropriate for you, as it is called the "Mercedes Australian Fashion Week "

Sponsored I see by Mercedes Benz. Mercedes was also named after the businessman's daughter Emil Jellinek, an Austrian businessman who was instrumental in the development of the vehicle.

Jellinek bought a fleet of 36 and named them Mercedes (in Spanish this means grace) after his young daughter.

More like 12 degrees in winter in Melbourne where you come from. Which is also the average British summer temperature.

I can't speak for the rest of Australia's dress style / sense but up here it's very much a case of 'wear what you want' and no one gives a toss.

You'll see men dressed in everything from in King Gee's and blundies to smart cotton shirts and shorts and leather sandles to 'surfer wear' to black tie for functions... Theres also those men who like to wear their denim jeans ironed with a 'line' down the middle front of each leg, grey plastic slip on shoes (with the obligatory white towelling socks) and scruffy singlet with a weeks breakfast, lunch and dinner down the front.

Women wear the 'surfer' look too, or shorts and a tee or get dressed up in cocktail gear or everyday dresses / skirts / 'nice' tops etc...(They don't tend to go for the 'lined jeans/plaggy shoes/white socks' look though!

You have to dress for the temperature and the social setting, I suppose.

I'm not bothered what my friends wear, so long as they are nice people and personally I find designer labels a huge turn off.
