"Anomalies denote the departure of an element from its long-period average value for the location concerned. For example, if the maximum temperature for June in Melbourne was 1 degree Celsius higher than the long-term average for this month, the anomaly would be +1 degrees Celsius. The current international standard is to use the 30 year average from 1961 to 1990 as the long-term average."

Mean Maximum Temperature Anomaly - 1 week

Brisbane average for this time of year:

It's now 23:47 and it's 34 deg. outside.

Humidity is high so the evap aircon isn't helping much.

Could be up late tonight

I managed a good nights sleep last night. That southerly breeze was heavenly.

I hope Friday is going to be dry but I doubt it. That 38 in Sydney probably means over 40 where I work. Saturday looks nice if they get it right.

That southerly in heavenly (even though it wrecks Bondi's surf).

It is still ding free. The bashes on my old board are from collisions with other sufers/surf boards. Now I can steer the bugger I will hopefully keep it intact. On the east coast you want a big cyclone in the Pacific and a westerly. It is worth checking out the nutters then as some of the action can be specacular.
