Yeah? Cos our Springer Spaniel was the most sleepy thing ever! Especially compared to our terrier mut. And neither of them would play and go after balls and such.... wierd dogs (and I think my parents didn't really teach them)
hmmm, now I have an excuse to post a pic too...
This was 1988. Springer(guess
) is now dead, a few years ago, so was about 14. Takkie is still alive, and very weak, blind(nearly) and deaf. If you go to pat him, he snaps at your hand, cos he thinks he's getting something to eat
And sometimes he has trouble walking.
Anyway...... this was a happy thread, you have many happy years to come

We (incl parents) always had Springers in the past (mostly Welsh) and they were never happier than when running, running, running the whole day. Socialization/ training does matter a hell of a lot but maybe you just got a lazy/ relaxed one?!

Yeah, they're supposed to run and hunt and stuff. I guess he did run a bit, but otherwise
Runned lopsided too, can't explain, looked as if he was going sideways but he wasn't.

Cheers, guys!
Update before the thread gets moved (
) - Choccy had a very good night, demolished a big bowl full of puppy meat and leftover ham chopped up. Getting very waggy (she was a bit morose on day 1) and follows us around the garden etc.

Enough already with the Choccy stories, I hear you crying...OK, but just had to share this with you.
House trained already at 8 weeks!!!
Honestly, she was pent up and ready to spill this am at 6, took her out and she did the biz, she was obviously waiting for the OK place to do it. Same thing an hour later.
It's happened nearly every time: she waits to go until she's outside, just a couple of wee accidents so to speak.
What a
pup.
